About Me
Edgar is a singer, dancer, actor, and choreographer currently based in Sarasota, Florida. As an actor, Edgar has played the role of Angel in RENT at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts (2024). He then had the opportunity to reprise the role at the University of Central Florida later in the year(2024).
He is a recent graduate from the University of Central Florida, with a BFA in Musical Theatre. His most recent projects include Fiddler on the Roof (Ensemble, Bottle Dancer, U/S Russian Tenor Soloist) with Theatre UCF, and Knight to Shine, Theatre UCF’s senior showcase, where Edgar performed multiple songs, as well as choreographed various group numbers.
In Edgar’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his grandmother, watching Rupaul’s Drag Race, and even developing and writing his own musical, with music by Kali Uchis. This project allows him to spread his creativity in many forms such as choreography, storytelling, and singing. Edgar is also in the process of becoming a pop artist, which combines his love for songwriting and producing. Besides being creative on stage Edgar aspires to get his Masters and start teaching/directing/choreographing after having a stable performance career.
Edgar is currently working a serving job at Deep Lagoon Waterside in Lakewood Ranch Florida, where he has made great connections and has met wonderful people. He is very saddened to leave but is excited to continue his journey as a professional performer in the big world. Edgar will be starting rehearsals on June 1st for his first ever out-of-state contract in Duluth Minnesota at Duluth Playhouse where he will be in the ensemble as well as playing Carlos! He is very thankful for everyone’s support and courage and cannot wait to start this process !
