About Me
Edgar is a singer, dancer, actor, teaching artist, and choreographer currently based in Sarasota, Florida. As an actor, Edgar has played the role of Angel in RENT at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts (2024). He then had the opportunity to reprise the role at the University of Central Florida later in the year(2024). He also just finished his run in Legally Blonde as Carlos/Ensemble(2026) at Duluth Playhouse in Duluth, Minnesota.
He is a recent graduate from the University of Central Florida, with a BFA in Musical Theatre. His most recent projects include Fiddler on the Roof (Ensemble, Bottle Dancer, U/S Russian Tenor Soloist) with Theatre UCF, and Knight to Shine, Theatre UCF’s musical theatre senior showcase, where Edgar performed multiple songs, as well as choreographed various group numbers.
In Edgar’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his grandmother, watching Rupaul’s Drag Race, playing Minecraft, and even developing a love for songwriting and music production. These projects allow him to spread his creativity in many forms such as choreography, storytelling, and singing.
For his upcoming contract he will be spending a whole year in Fort Myers, Florida, as an Acting Apprentice at Florida Rep Theatre. He will have the opportunity to understudy/perform in their MainStage season. As well as perform in their TYA productions that will tour around nearby schools. He is very excited to start this process to help make theatre more accessible to students in elementary through high school.
